I know we no longer have access to the original post because of the hack but if I recall correctly that goal was chosen because of the PS2. 160 million would be a very random goal, so it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility to believe it (the goal) was chosen because of the PS2. Certain posters are now moving the goalpost because of fear of Switch likely to pull it off. Rol (the OP) from the offset said the Switch wouldn't be replaced until I believe this year lol. |
The goal post had been moved serveral times. Now we stand by 160 million. Some called the 160,6 million picture a fact but changed to "fake" when they say the "more promising" random internet speculations about 158- 162 million or some abnormal unrealistic numbers. I am somehow tired to explain this so often... its like with children: 158 million was a number out of an asumption because people thought "over 155 million sold" meant ~ 3 million on shelfes (155+ 3= 158). But we know "over 155 million sold" lead to the at that time confirmed "155,1 million shiped" number as of march 2012. This hack is responsible we have no more access to this numbers and i wouldn't even be surprised if Sony themselfes did it in order to let this number disappear hoping we would forget the original number.
