I agree with your first part fully. But what is your problem with me just mentioning it in one sentence in my posts that you originally quoted about that ? The fact that is irrelevant doesn't mean I can't mentioned it to the people, Just like that. It's part of my opinion on the matter and I wanted to include it in my post. The proof you have is not a proof since my post is not a goalpost move, it's simply stating that to shut up those desperate mouths Switch can do it with 162M. Simple as that! They are not imaginary, since they will be there in future when Switch gets closer, I am sure of it. And you can't really call someone imaginary when talking about the future. I am not parroting it, since I wrote it once, or twice before. I am writing it more times to you just because of the debate, so it's clear to you what the sentence is about. Saying it once in 1 sentence, while repeating many many times that I too believe in the 160-160.6M and for me Switch has passed the PS2 if it reaches 160.7M is guarantee I don't try to push that 162M number or parrot it and is also showing how you are ready to hang on to just 1 small thing in order to put me label and to accuse me. I am not one of those desperate hold outs, since I am not saying Switch needs 162M to beat the PS2, or for example to say that Switch will sell 2M this year and die, or that for example Nintendo will stop it's production this year, because of the Switch 2 releasing. So no, I am not desperate hold out. I simply think as of this moment Switch will come short, it will come close, but not over 160.6M. Simply because I expect reasonable price for the successor, and releasing it at latest by the end of the summer. Giving them voice is not important to me, and I am not giving them anything, I barely mentioned them until you come and start accusing me. If switch reaches 160.7M it has outsold the PS2 for me. The desperate people may continue to debate it until 162M, but I know it has passed it already and will sit and watch. It's not like it will be second life for that battle. |
I agree with everything you are saying as long as you truly mean it. So I'll take your word for it and believe you are only preparing us for the future. The issue with saying it is by repeating it, it helps spread the misinformation. That could be viewed as negligence especially when you know better. You are the one with the helpful graphs/tables about sales, so you ofcourse want accurate information. You spread the correct information via your threads.
