This poll is a no-brainer
Anything bellow 50m is so far down in the realm of possibilities that I don't even understand how can anybody possible believe it's going to happen lol
50-75 is possible, but extremely unlikely. It would need to have some dead feature nobody wants that make the console much more expensive than it should be, launch with no games, have poor third party support, poor hardware capabilities unable to feel like a proper new generation console and I still doubt it wouldn't sell more than 75 million units (see Nintendo 3DS)
75-100 is what I currently think it's the lower end projection. If the console receives lukewarm response, mostly because of lack of excitement due to be too similar to Switch, lack proper third party support and uneventful first party games... I still think it will sell close to 80-90 million units, basically a new PS3
100-150 is the obvious answer. It's a huge sales range, Switch 2 can arrive in whatever sales mark here, depending on how long it's going to be supported, the pricing and the revisions |
True, hardly anyone voted for the lower options, but there were a few!
I wanted to gauge people's initial expectations, and typically there are some super pessimistic people and some super optimistic people (me in this case). 66% of people voted for the 100-150mil, so it's the most popular option and also a big range, as you said. I plan to do an updated poll after the April Direct that provides more precise ranges within the 100-150 to serve as people's official predictions.
