Kind of but kind of not really, France has never “declared” or “assigned” its nuclear weapons to NATO. French nuclear weapons are there to defend France alone. Now that could easily change but for now I believe it's only USA and UK who have declared their nuclear weapons to NATO. Since 1962 the UK has declared our nuclear capability to the defence of NATO while France hasn't.

But I do feel like Poland could end up getting nukes at this rate, with the direction America is heading in, I feel Poland likewise probably doesn't have much faith in Western Europe and I don't blame them. Combined with the fear of Russia at their doors and the fact that Poland is already the biggest military spender in terms of GDP and are currently building a fortress, I could envision a scenario where Poland steps up to the plate and offers a nuclear umbrella for eastern Europe.

Anyway, that scenario isn't being discussed yet, but what is being discussed is Poland hosting other countries nukes on their soil. Not sure whether they'd be American or French, I doubt American considering America's current fuckery, and France would need to change their tune, UK's nukes are entirely sea based so we're out, Lol. If Ukraine loses the war then Poland may just say fuck this shit and acquire their own nukes.

Yeah, Poland is the most likely to actually do it but it'd take a few years for them to get there with their own technology.

Meanwhile Spain and Germany are probably the ones who could develop them the fastest (along with Canada) but haven't demonstrated much political will to do so... yet.
