Welp, this absolute mockery of a game finally wrapped up its final chapter and boy is the ending a total shitshow (kinda like this game):

Basically:

Spoiler!
Real/Arkham Batman is alive along with the rest of the JL (except Wonder Woman) and the “JL” the Squad killed were clones.

Really, Rocksteady? That’s what you went with to curb rightful fan backlash? Makes you wonder if this was always the plan or if they’re just backpedaling after all the rightful backlash with how they treated (read: disrespected) the JL canon, especially Batman in Kevin Conroy’s last ever performance no less (R.I.P.). His “death” was handled beyond terribly. You know Bats would put up way more of a fight than

Spoiler!
helplessly getting headshotted with no backup.

And what’s more is: that lazy copout ending just creates more plot holes.

Spoiler!
Where was real/Arkham Batman this whole time? And why didn’t Brainiac just use the real JL and leave nothing to chance (as opposed to them potentially being rescued/breaking out and foiling his plan, which is exactly what happened)?

It doesn’t stop there, though: they used cheap motion comics endings in all the DLC chapters instead of true cutscenes, but then again, no sense pouring (real) resources into a dead game that nobody plays. They already blew $200 mil on this trainwreck.

In a sad way, I guess it was a fitting way to end this shit game. You could say it was the shit cherry on top of the shit sundae.
