Steam Deck, at least in its current iteration, will be lucky to sell as much lifetime as the Vita.

To say its a bigger winner than the Switch which will likely sell more than 10 times as much lifetime is a very strange statement.

It is kind of the point that really hw doesn't mean much anymore, it is kind of a silly argument if someone would say 'steam deck was a big failure even the vita outsold it and steam deck has no exlusives!'

It is a winner because it is came on the market as just another way of playing steam games, that plays also some xbox and ps games and with more than 15K games as steam deck verified it will be hard for MS/Sony to compete.  Especially with Steam OS releasing on more PC handhelds in the future...

For me it feels a bittersweet because I joined here in 2007 when everyone was saying how pc gaming is dying and stores are stopping selling PC games because no on plays PC games...

The Steam Deck is a nice addition to the gaming sector for sure, it's always good to have more options, it just seems odd to me to call a relatively niche device the "biggest winner". It's a win, yes, but the biggest? It's a relatively minor player really.

If you mean the biggest win for you personally, then okay, can't disagree with that.
