It's definitely very Sony-like ... it even feels a lot like the PS5 reveal trailer Sony did, thankfully at least we got a few seconds of actual gameplay.
I think Furukawa is very focused on not doing anything too stupid with the design. They went very Playstation-like with the name and first look trailer this time.
The whole "we don't do anything like Playstation because we're Nintendo" thing is kind of dying, makes sense given Furukawa's age, he was a young man when the Playstation came out and started to dominate Japan in the 90s and a lot of the Playstation marketing of that era was aimed at the age Furukawa would have been back then, he probably does not have that same kind of attitude towards how Sony does things as Nintendo's old guard does.
