I'm not expecting it to be universal for boosting, it's not universal on Xbox or PlayStation.

The option just has to be there to be satisfactory backwards compatibility in my mind. Low resolution Zelda and Xenoblade Chronicles that don't even have locked 30 FPS is not appealing to deal with for yet another generation. Princess Peach Showtime doesn't even have locked 30 FPS, but that seems like a lack of optimization. 

That's funny, I've never once had a thought complaining about Zelda being low resolution or running slow on Switch. Maybe the occasional small slowdown but that's it, certainly nothing to say "not appealing to deal with for yet another generation" haha
