An even more disturbing fact is that Wario Land: Shake It (the final Wario Land game and non-WarioWare Wario game) is 16 years old and the original Wario Land was 14 years old when Shake It came out.Â
I played most of 4 (but didn't beat it) but my cuz grew up with some of those games and I feel bad they're a dead series. It seems like such an easy thing for Nintendo to revive. Remaking Land 4 in a hand-drawn style seems like a Switch 2 title to revive Wario Land. As for whether or not Ocarina of Time releases on Switch 2 in 2028 is up to Nintendo's timing. In the likely event the next 3D Zelda launches in 2029, I don't know if Nintendo will want an Ocarina of Time Remake (but maybe a remaster) the year before. Tears of the Kingdom and Echoes of Wisdom are completely different. I suppose Ocarina and another open-world 3D Zelda are pretty different as well. The new Zelda that would get me most hyped is a 3D Zelda that is a smaller open world than the BOTW/TOTK duology and has more progression-based dungeons and removes the brittle weapons system. Oh, and Link's green tunic as the standard outfit again. |
Is OoT remake like a major rumor?
I could care less about an OoT remake. Been there, done that. I just want Wind Waker on Switch 2 cuz I only ever played a little bit of that game.
As far as the next Zelda, yeah I think I would like to see it a little more compact but content filled. Maybe 80% the size of the botw/totk map, but with a bustling hyrule city and the land packed with enemies and dungeons and tons of stuff. I don't mind the weapons system as it adds strategy and forces you to use and pick up different things. I have long wanted a Zelda game that takes place during a Hyrulian war with Ganon and his forces. Would love to see something like that. Where it has the typical exploring, fighting, dungeons gameplay, but you also have battles going on that you have to fight in, and specific strategic things you as Link have to do to help the war.
