Likely a ton of copies on shelves for that type of game.

Honestly though. I was in Tokyo for a bit this past weekend and I went to a small store. I went to the game section and they were selling Switch and PS5. But what surprised me most was that they weren't selling any PS5 games. Only a small selection of Switch games too. Digital future is still increasing.

IIRC Momotaro a board game type deal so it's physical ratio is probably a lot higher than average.

With how low physical sales are on PS5 I can see smaller stores not bothering, similar to reports of places in Europe no longer carrying Xbox games.

Yeah of course I forgot to mention. No Xbox consoles or games on sale. The big stores in Akihabara have everything. But the small stores in the outskirts are giving up selling physical games.

Is why COMG! in Niigata essentially gave up their tracking of physical sales.
