Crash is much better
Mario always felt boring to play. It's something to have local multiplayer to your friends who don't know how to play games, or toddlers. But it's a Hollow experience
CTR is more fun, specially the single player mode. Drifting is more intuitive and the races are more designed around having you to master some skills (turn, drift, acceleration, etc)
