General - Marvel vs. DC - View Post

C: Superman Returns was good. The first series of Batman movies was horrible, as was Catwoman and most other movies they've made. Road to Perdition and V for Vendetta were absolutely great, as was Batman Begins. So three great movies, but much fewer good movies.

You left out a lot, check it out:

The first three Superman films with Christopher Reeve.

The first Batman movie directed by Tim Burton

Batman Begins

Superman Returns

V for Vendetta

Road to Perdition

The League of Extrodinary Gentlemen

Swampthing

Constatine(another Alan Moore character)

From Hell

The Dark Knight

Watchmen

A History of Violence

The Fountain

The Spirit

These movies.....some of them are just beyond amazing, friends. Road to Perdition, and A History of Violence are both better than any superhero movie has ever been. Most people simply don't know these are based on DC comics.

Animated:

The Batman Series

The Justice League film

Superman: Doomsday

Batman: The Gotham Knight anime

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

Awards:

The Watchmen -

Best Finite Series

One of the best 100 novels in the past 25 years.

Alan Moore.

Or how bout Frank Miller?

How can anyone, ever, claim that Marvel actually holds a candle to DC in any way, because a couple of the most recent, casual, popcorn flicks they made were good, when you've never even read Watchmen?

This topic is like asking your mom which console is the best.

Does anyone even know who Rorschach is?

The best graphic novels are all DC:

Batman: Year 1

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Frank Miller

Watchmen - Alan Moore

V for Vendetta - Alan Moore

The Killing Joke - Alan Moore

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol1 - Alan Moore

DC COMICS!

Alan Moore!

Christ!

If you read anything he ever wrote, you would be arguing this with me.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
