Liturgically, Christmas lasts until 1/5 (which is where the song 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' comes from). Even longer if you're Catholic, where it stretches to 1/8.
So, if the rumors are true and the official announcement arrives by the eighth you may still lose the bet.

This guy gets it! That’s exactly what I was trying to say + add a few extra days b/c Nintendo like to reveal things on Tues/Wed/Thurs. So…1-8-2025 counts as Christmas.
