Well, I have a PSN account since 2007, so I don't have a problem with using it for Sony's PC games, too.

I too do a PSN account, but having it be mandatory is essentially DRM, which lowers the value of games tremendously for me. If it was optional, I'd probably use it happily, but with it being required, it means it's going to take a lot for me to get Sony's games on PC. One part is principle, but another is that I don't trust Sony with the power to effectively disable access to games I've paid for if they ever decide to pull the plug. And yes, I play the long-term game here.
