Just wondering by have you played the game.  What exactly within the game make it woke.  The reason I ask is because it seems like a lot of people bandwagon on a term when they haven't even played a game.

I havent played it or any of the Dragon Age games for that matter, but with cutscenes like this:

Its just so blatant and forced. It feels preachy.

This is bullshit fake rage.

You do *not* need to partake in that scene/conversation, you control the flow of the conversation and can thus avoid it.
It's building backstory for those characters.

Again if you google like "woke games 2024", you ll get stuff like:

Forspoken, xdefiant , Concord, Unknown 9 - awakening, Dragon Age - veilguard, Dustborn, Suicide Squad, ....

Maybe they had other issues, but these were all "branded" as really woke games, that then went on to do poorly.

Yes I legit think, all this stuff inserted into games, are hurting them.

By that same argument... DEI/Woke must have helped Baldurs Gate 3.
You can't have it one way and not the other.

Baldur's Gate 3's Nocturne is a transgender character.
Barcus Wroot, Lakrissa, Alfira, etc are queer, with each having comprehensive backstories that even explore those LGBTQI aspects.

The character creator was also very LGBTQI friendly.

Incorrect. If Bioware is going under, it's because their previous 3 projects have been disasters. Dragon Age Veilguard is better received than the last several Bioware games.

Dragon Age Inquisition had gay and trans characters.

Most of Bioware games have LGBTQI representation... Even Mass Effect 1,2 and 3 which were highly praised.

Even Knights of the Old Republic which released in 2003 has a Lesbian romance in it with Johani.
Jade Empire had same-sex romance in 2005.

I think people are genuinely stupid if they get upset when a Bioware game release in 2024 has LGBTQI representation... When for almost 20 years Bioware has been featuring it in their games, with the majority being critical success despite that.

It would be like going to Mc Donalds and buying a big mac and getting upset that it tastes like Cardboard. It's Mc Donalds... You know what you are buying for decades.

Could I have some examples of games that have included LGBT+ stuff or other minorities in both good and very poor ways?

Can't say I have really experience it in a bad way.
I tend to give less of a rats ass than most people, LGBTQI representation is a "small world issue" in the grand scheme of things.

But:
* Jade Empire.
* Knights of the old Republic.
* Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3.
* Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age: inquisition.
* The Last of Us.
* Fable 1, 2, 3.
* Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.
* Chrono Trigger.
* Assassins Creed.
* Borderlands.
* Fallout 2, New Vegas and Fallout 4.
* Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, Ballard of Gay Tony and GTA5.
* Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3.
* Watch Dogs.

And probably a bunch more I have missed where I have seen Pronouns, Romance options, same-sex backstory and characters... Some of these games are the best games of all time even with that inclusion.
