AMD's new potential GPU naming is garbage.

As for APU vs discreet. They are great... Until you become bandwidth limited, then discreet gets significantly ahead, which would mostly be prevalent at higher resolutions. I.E. 1440P/4k when fillrate limitations come into play.

This gets reversed when the discrete GPU runs out of VRAM first, then the APU can get ahead significantly. It's a scenario that was pretty rare in the past, but considering how stingy NVidia and on the low-end also AMD are on the VRAM, this happens much more often now than it did in the past.

And yes, the GPU name change is garbage. Terascale to early GCN with their XY90/70/50/30 naming scheme was best, as it was the clearest for the consumers imo.
