Well, they are, and that's it. Bluntly, I'm not interested in debating the merits of the event.

That's good, because the actual awards have no merit. They're flimsy bullshit designed to give some justification for the ad dollars. I'm frankly laughing at the Game Science CEO throwing a tantrum over some inconsequential American awards show, as well as the folks who are outraged on his behalf.
