Still picking away at Survivor Series.

If I could put on my pedantic non-kayfabe hat for a comment.
During the Walter/Gunther vs Priest match, I saw some missed opportunities by the commentators to aid the storytelling. The camera team did their job, showing Priest selling the shoulder, and Walter looking at it - but the commentary did nothing to aid this. I'm assuming they see what the cameras see, so it's kind of their fault, but whoever is in their ear (director? producer?) also should have noted that to them to call it out. Just little things like that which, IMO felt like a disconnect between the camera team and performers and the commentary/production.

Also, if Priest oversold anymore, he'd be Chris Benoit - IMO, sometimes less is more, little reminders of the injury are good, save the big ones for when the opponent is working the injured shoulder to make it look like he's fighting through it - that's just my opinion, a lot of the greats (IMO) oversell a lot, even guys you don't expect it from, like The Rock, did it from time to time.

Also, Priest's next big match should be a complete destruction of Balor. But overall, this didn't feel like the end of the Walter/Priest story, not sure if they'll cap it off at Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania, or have one screw the other over, and finish it later in 2025.

I think Walter should hold the title for quite some time, yet. He has Aleksander Karelin vibes (Although Karelin was Leviathan era Batista size, bigger than Lesnar - Karelin was the greatest wrestler in history, but that's as far as my respect for the guy goes).

Announcers typically watch the feed rather than the ring specifically so that they can see what the TV audience is seeing, since the live audience doesn't hear them.

Priest is just kind of missing something for me. It's just not clicking. Doesn't mean it never will, cause I'd have said the same about Liv Morgan, and she's great in her new role. But at this point, I'd much rather see Balor pushed.

Priest is an introvert. That could be it.

Either way, continuing the PPV, I'm watching the main event now. I'm wondering how the two bloodlines will have knees in the future (particularly the bigger guys, Solo landed weird from the top ropes, keeping his legs locked straight rather than rolling through.

And I think Bronson Reed just stole the whole match with that insane table tsunami splash from the top of the cage. The refs rolling all the dangerous debris out the ring were the real heroes! 😆

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
