AMD confirms Radeon RX 8600 and RX 8800 RDNA4 GPU series

https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-confirms-radeon-rx-8600-and-rx-8800-rdna4-gpu-series

Going by this (Salts, grains and stuff)
The 8600XT should beat the 7700XT.
The 8700XT should be be roughly inline with the 7800XT.
The 8800XT should beat the 7800XT.

The 8600XT should provide that boost in value that's been needed in the mid range.

It's the RT capabilities that will be of interest though, Double Ray Tracing Intersect Engine, RT instance node transform, improved BVH and more could provide some significant gains that will make the 8000 series a viable upgrade from 6000 series owners. Finally.

In saying that... nVidia would need to release a 5060Ti with only 8GB to really screw up and hand that market segment to AMD/Intel.

I wish I had your confidence that consumers wouldn't buy a 5060Ti 8GB anyway. The RRTX 3050 sales are proof positive that Nvidia can stuff manure into a box and people will still buy it.
