However this doesn't explain why Raven has more personality than her. But I'm slightly more forgiving of that aspect of the game even though I've already been forgiving. I like the story, it's not new and was totally predictive from the start but it's solid and interesting. Reading the documents and collectibles is a must though or you miss out on context. On my third playthrough now, and only now did some things click, like Adam is Rapheal Marks. Mothern sphere and Adam are playing this little game harmony ovwr the decades and must know more about each other hence Adam and Eve. Mothers spheres predictions are all considered so whatever outcome ends up happening doesn't matter to her, it just is what it is so she's really winning no matter what happens and wis the most even with the true ending, I think she wants to see her creator, Raphael Marks succeed and has spent all this time trying to find a way to make that happen. Otherwise she'd just nuke the planet (again) or send a virus down that'd kill all organics. That said the "return to colony" ending makes no sense, we'd see that structure from the ground and while Eve is in space, so I have to blank put that ending completely. Such a stupid I consistency. |
Well to answer your question that I bolded in the spoiler.

Raven was the leader of the 2nd Airborne Squad. Eve is a member of the 7th Airborne Squad. Raven has been alive a lot longer than Eve. For point of reference Lily is from the 5th Airborne Squad. Eve starts developing her emotions over the course of Stellar Blade. That time frame is shorter than how long Raven has been alive. You can see Raven's original, Eve-like, personality in the Legacies she leaves behind. Those were her real logs. You see her emotions develop over the course of them. They were latter repurposed as bread crumbs for Eve after she joins Adam. Raven prior to that, had been hunting down the subsequent Airborne Squads. You can find this out in one on the Fallen Angel sidequest. The quest where you find the body of the 4th Airborne Squad member that's still alive but immobilized and hooked to her pod which was turned into some sort of torture device. She was left hooked to that thing for years. One of her logs says they were betrayed. In retrospect, it shows how much Raven really hated Mother Sphere.
