Because team attack is tournament and league standard. It's also far better with it on as certain team strategies only work with it on, like Zamus D-smash filling a G&W bucket, or KOing someone out of Dedede's stomach. It also prevents certain strategies like grabbing someone to just let a Ganon Warlock Punch them.

 

 

But can ever one take adages of this being able to hit each other? If not then why not just cut it off in a tournament setting then ever one can be at an = playing feed because any one can grip to big hit but only a few can get some nice things from there team mate hitting them.

teams are way too unbalanced if team attack is not on....Example....lets say ike and lucas are on a team....lucas stands behind ike and ike stands at the end of lucas pk fire and spams f-smash.  everyone will just be spamming smash attacks without any strategy or any consequences.  trust me, once you start playing with team attack on you will like it better.
