Sony confirms PS2 has sold over 160 million

Sony has finally updated the PS2 figures on their "Business Data & Sales" page. PS2 sell-in (shipped) data now says, "More than 160.0 million (As of March 31, 2012)." PS2 was discontinued at the very beginning of 2013.

Interesting enough this is the exact same date as when it said, "More than 155.0 million."
