I wasn't very excited about this game, but I'm hearing positive things about it. I may check it out at a later date.

I think a lot of people will give it a quick try, realize it needs some work, and then leave it behind. I would recommend waiting unless you're a dedicated fan of the series and this type of game. There's also a considerable modding scene at play. Given a few patches, and with full features running, this will be quite the experience for those willing to game outside modern shooter conventions.
