Things I hate about the left that I think is costing them votes:

1. The stance on borders and immigration

People care about this more than you imagine. Even if you think we are morally wrong to be not in favour of it, how many of us here were willing to justify Biden and Kamala stance on Gaza because we didn't want to rock the boat too much before the elections? I am guilty of this too, I know how big of a deal AIPAC is after all, so why is rationalising support for genocide is ok in the name of not losing elections but rationalising controlling the border is not?

not that I think I am morally wrong about this, but if you think I am, there is still room to rationalise it because it's better than losing votes over it.

Moreover, Trump's biggest con was convincing every body that they're the party of regulations and control. Wat.

He stole the left stance on this and made it his (with needless spicy rhetoric on top). It used be a Bernie and a Corbyn thing to talk about regulating borders and immigration, and now we got to the point that no body believes the left's intentions to fix this problem even though those intentions are probably more sincere than that of the right. It certainly is the case in the UK at least, and it certainly was the case with Biden's bill that went against the left self-inflicted brand of "chaos at the border", too little too late.

2. Running away from uncomfortable conversations and thought policing

Transwomen and gender ideology is a good example, for years, the only places that you could listen to debates or conversations about trans women in sports and pronouns was right wing spaces, as a result, they got to control the framing, and worse yet, they got the curious minds who wanted to hear what others think about this listening to their podcasts, reading their articles while the left continued to ignore this until it became unescapable and we ended up being on the defence instead of being the party of common sense. Now they have too much power over the subject that they get to lie about any sports-woman who doesn't look feminine enough to them.

The grooming gangs in the UK is another example, this story is beyond comprehension. Not even government bodies wanted to listen to the victims because... diversity and racial wars make them too uncomfortable or whatever, let alone left wing outlets who won't report on this adequately. The result? you got right wing podcasts like triggernometry exploding in popularity because they gave the victims (all white women) space and time to tell their horrific stories... and I have subscribed to their channel ever since because its content the left will not touch.

One final example, Islamophobia, this is a big for me. Why does this ugly ass religion get special treatment? I don't fucking get it. If you think its followers are going to appreciate your tolerance of their intolerant ideology, think again, they'd rather vote for Trump who'll wipe Gaza off the map than entertain your rainbow colours any further. All the Tories have to do now is to become as extreme as the republicans on LGBT and get the Islamic votes, especially when there will be no Gaza in the future to be outraged about.

3. "going to the manager" attitude and tendency to exclude

For years, the left wanted Joe Rogan out when he was literally on our side, why? because I don't know, he has tolerance for unlikeable comedians and hosts right wing people on his show too often for our liking.

This is the Joe Rogan I used to defend and the left wanted canceled through multiple co-ordinated fake outrage campaigns that all ultimately failed (just like banning Trump off the internet failed, oh right, remember that?).

I am not saying the left is responsible for how shitty Joe Rogan is right now, but he's human, and constantly trying to take his livelihood away cost us a potential alley and gave the right a lethal weapon. Krystal and Kyle used to be regular guests on Jo Ro and he used to nod in agreement to their anti-Trump arguments.

this clip from 3 years ago, amazing how sensible Krystal’s 3 year-old clip sounds right now.

Many here suggesting social media banning and regulations after Trump won. But what about the Tories wipe out and the recent France elections? these things happened this year and it doesn't seem like social media was a problem for the left in these countries. Rethink this.

4. Shitting on progressive and pretending Bernie had a fair chance and "progressive is too risky"

To be told that running on progressive policies or Bernie was too far left and is too risky by the same the people who covered for Biden's cognitive decline and then replaced him with a candidate that wasn't properly stress tested last minute is fucking LOL.  The DNC undemocratic shenanigans need to be called out.

I mean, to even say that Kamala wasn't tested is a stretch on my part, 2020 primaries was a good clue for all of us, and I actually like her, but she was never popular.

5. The white male neglect

I don't have a problem with DEI policies, I want people from all walks of life to have a chance, I acknowledge many have been left behind because they've been disadvantaged and had to work much harder to get a fair chance because of their sexual orientation or colour of their skin.

... But to pretend that the young white male "has it good" is a fucking joke. Go around the UK and interview white males in their 20s and 30s (and many in their 40s) living like caged chickens in shared homes and tiny rooms because they’re struggling with low wages, struggling to get proper health care and public services just like the rest.

The beauty of Bernie is that he managed to speak to these people as well as the minorities, everyone was offered something. The left needs to ditch the "white male has it good" brand asap, the Bernie to Trump pipeline is all too real at this stage.

6. tolerance for genocide because it's under Biden

I just can't find anymore excuses for Biden & Kamala anymore, he's got more than 2 months left, elections are over. Not doing the right thing on Gaza cost the left morally and cost us votes, we look like the biggest hypocrites in every room trying to sell ourselves as the caring people. If you can't do something then say something instead of going down in history as a genocide sponsor.

7. No bridge between MSM and left-wing independent media figures

Fox News frequently hosts people like Ben Shapiro, hell, Bill Mahir is all too happy platforming these idiots, yet, some like Kyle never gets an invite.

All the left leaning channels that I follow have either stagnated or lost viewership, meanwhile the right wing channels continue to grow. Why is YouTube continuously pushing these channels? because of adverts? because of engagement? why does YouTube give these people equal footing anyway, are we pretending twitter is a neutral space now?

Why doesn't the left co-operate to elevate like the right does? Bill Mahir, get my people on your show instead of constantly shitting on the left from a right wing perspective, you're fucking annoying.

8. Anti-police image

to expand on later
