I was simply speaking from a place of frustration. I'm not a fan of Trumpism, but we really shouldn't be finding ourselves in a situation where someone like Trump can be considered a preferable option in the first place.

What you said brought my mind to this, since you are the author of the thread.

Someone calling me a Nazi (and I have been called that) is not going to make me reconsider if maybe Hitler was right after all. Or the alt-right, or Trump, or whatever degree of fascism is currently popular.
If a comment like that radicalizes someone, then they have a lot bigger problems than being namecalled.

I mean if somebody is literally a Neonazi, sure, same as if someone is literally a troll.

In both cases, it's a matter of using the label accurately, instead of as a way of shutting down disagreement.
