I could take a peek here and there during my work hours. It started off bad with North Carolina being called for Trump, then just got worse afterwards and with Pennsylvania being called it was over.
This thread (and my mailbox, because you know, firebush) have gone as expected with all the gloating over this bad news. Somehow it's the Dems who have to work for it whereas Trump counts as the common sense default choice. Just what is wrong with you people who start with this premise. The reason why I don't put a question mark there is because I know what's wrong with you all: Your priority is to stick it to Dems, liberals, people on the left in general. Everything else isn't important, even if you happen to live in the USA and will suffer from Trump's policies. And you will, because tariffs target everyone.
This election is similar to the second Brexit vote where people should know better what they are actually voting for, but still make the worse choice by a narrow margin. The obvious difference is that the US election will have far more serious consequences than the Brexit. I am in the enviable position to live somewhere where it's very unlikely that this will negatively impact my life, so I can relentlessly mock the stupidity of the American people who have led us down this path that has the potential to change the power balance of this world for the worse, because Trump is prone to get played like a fiddle by autocrats around the globe.
I'll keep an eye on the analyses what went wrong for the Democrats this election. Because if Trump gets his way, a lot of US comedy shows won't air for too much longer.
Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.
