The Dualsense controller is by definition a game changing feature.

I thought they had adoptive triggers, no? Could have sworn I saw that as a selling point when researching to buy a Series S. 

Nope the Xbox Series controller was changed a lot less compared to how much the Dualsense was changed compared to the Dualshock 4. It's understandable since the Xbox One controller was already really high quality but due to that Xbox controllers are now kinda outdated in terms of feature set which is unfortunate and hopefully will be fixed with the next revision.
