I am still puzzled that so many people on the internet expect a reveal this fiscal year. All Nintendo said is that they have an announcement to make this fiscal year, and an announcement does not mean the minimum of the equivalent to what Switch got in October 2016. I don't rule it out that Nintendo will troll all of you with the announcement being nothing more than "We will launch the successor to Nintendo Switch during the fiscal year ending March 2026, stay tuned for more information."

Additionally, we could always rule out a launch this fiscal year because Nintendo's fiscal year forecast didn't account for a new console in any of its numbers, be it shipments, revenue or profits.

While my original prediction from 2019 (march 2025- i've been told serval times march 2023 will be the latest possibility because "Nintendo always replaces their systems after 6 years blablabla..." ) walks on its way to the guillotine, I think its getting more likley every week, that may- june could be the earliest possibility now, i wouldn't even rule out late 2025. If we are unlucky (happy in my case because i still enjoy my Switch) we will get Switch Up as late as march 2026...
