I am still puzzled that so many people on the internet expect a reveal this fiscal year. All Nintendo said is that they have an announcement to make this fiscal year, and an announcement does not mean the minimum of the equivalent to what Switch got in October 2016. I don't rule it out that Nintendo will troll all of you with the announcement being nothing more than "We will launch the successor to Nintendo Switch during the fiscal year ending March 2026, stay tuned for more information."

Additionally, we could always rule out a launch this fiscal year because Nintendo's fiscal year forecast didn't account for a new console in any of its numbers, be it shipments, revenue or profits.

I think its all due to people hoping that Switch 2 will come out early 2025, but i think it becomes clearer and clearer that Switch 2 will be out like holiday 2025. Probably due to software issues happening behind the scenes.
