If this exact release had happened in 2017, the discourse around the Switch and its power would have been different. The fact that Breath of Wild could not run at 1080p and a fully locked 30 FPS on Switch despite having exactly the same base assets as the Wii U version was taken as proof by some that the Switch was more underpowered than it really was and barely any better than the Wii U. A game that really pushed the Wii U getting not only the common bump to 1080p but improved textures, character models, and LOD on Switch is pretty much unheard of to my knowledge, and proves that it could have been done in other games but wasn't. It's usually only Gamecube and Wii games that get this much effort put into improving their visuals. Maybe it's a good thing, because games like Captain Toad, Mario Kart 8, DK Tropical Freeze, and Bayonetta 2 would have faced greater scrutiny for not putting in the effort Monoliftsoft put in here.

FAST Racing Neo to FAST RMX was a substantial jump, going from a reconstructed 720p on Wii U to a native dynamic 1080p on Switch with a new lighting model.
