What PS1 game made the biggest first impression on you

Final Fantasy VIII. I saw it first at my friend's house, and I pretty much immediately knew I had to get the game. It was just unlike anything else I had ever played up to that point. Looked amazing, had a very intriguing setting, and the best music I'd heard in a video game up to that point in time.
