Playing FH4 at 144hz was very smooth! However dropping it down to 72fps for Halo Infinite was still very responsive. That seems to be a sweet spot, better than 60, more stable than aiming for higher. I had to drop it down to 48fps for the outdoor sections and there the difference between 48 and 72 was noticeable. Still better than 30 but not quite as smooth.
Anyway 144hz display gives you more options for capped frame rates.
