Paying for online is also optional. I have a PS5 and I don't pay for PS+. I don't see the point since I'm mainly a solo gamer. Sometimes I feel the need to play some Battlefield again or whatever. But I only get 1 month in such cases, so at the end of the generation I will be nowhere near 500 euro, lol.
It just always depends. There is no absolute winner in such a comparison.
