Well, the image quality difference between FSR quality and DLSS balanced is even smaller than between FSR + DLSS both quality (or both balanced) "during normal gameplay".
The image quality difference between FSR balanced and DLSS performance is even smaller than between FSR + DLSS both balanced (or both performance) "during normal gameplay".
The image quality difference between FSR performance and DLSS ultra performance is even smaller than between FSR + DLSS both performance (or both ultra performance) "during normal gameplay".
So with DLSS compared to FSR you can reach the same (or sometimes even slightly better) image quality with a lower render resolution and enjoy the additional fps... with some rare exceptions, of course.
