You truly have to admire Ubisoft's dedication to making this the 'most historically accurate Assassin's Creed to date'.

Holy God. They had to have known, they must internally hate Japanese people. There's no way they wouldn't research the symbolism on that.

...or it's intentional to drum up controversy and get attention for sales. Hogwarts Legacy and Wu Kong have proven political controversies are good controversies cause they don't hurt sales and do free advertising.
