Same as you though, it really depends on if Fire Emblem is doing well. Three houses is the main reason I bought a Switch and wasn't disappointed but if they created a new strategy RPG that looked just as good I might be in for that too. However I am a bit over Nintendo IP, sick of the same aesthetics even in reinvention, as great as Mario Galaxy was I'd have loved to see someone but Mario in there. Same for Oddessy. I'd just live to see them reinvent but with different aesthetics. |
It would be something to see an RPG like Baldurs Gate. Nintendo has Xenoblade, but I can't get used to the battle system in those games. I am curious what Monolith Soft next big thing is going to be.
About Mario, I guess for me I had some times when I took a rest from the Plumber. Loved him in the NES, SNES and N64 era. Could not care less during GameCube era. Galaxy re-ignited the flame, but the NEW Mario Bross games did not. Odyssey & Wonder though I am a big fan. For me I would not mind if there are only a few outings, so it remains special and mix it up with e.g. Donkey Kong or something else.
