Why the condescending tone though? Is so bad to think graphics and performance are as important as gameplay design? I personally think some Switch games would be significantly better if they could run on better hardware. Zelda TOTK has some painfully annoying framerate drops here and there, they fixed it in later patches but still...
And for action games yeah 60 FPS definitely improves a lot the experience. It's just so much more smooth... plus some games on Switch just do not look good for me.
Anyway if there was no point in wanting better consoles, then it's pointless to release new systems. We could keep all current consoles running forever without any power upgrades, they would even become cheaper with time.
