I think we get what you're concerned about pretty clearly actually, you clearly have an issue with a certain issue. I'll leave that to you to figure out.
Back to the actual topic, nothing stops a more global society, technology will 100% continue to interconnect the world in ways that are even far closer than now.
Things like Ready Player One will become a reality that will make smartphones look quaint.
