Just a rant because i'm super frustrated. If anyone has been in this situation I'd love some help.

Apple ID hacked with two factor verification. Basically at 12:42pm today someone got into the account on an Iphone 14 and removed my number and changed it to another number with the same final two digits. When something like this happens there's an authorization code sent to your number but the last message i got around that time was at 12:36pm. Apple believes the number was spoofed and someone was able to retrieve the code while blocking it from getting to my phone? 

While on call with Apple I asked them on their end can they see time logs of account changes. They said yes they saw i removed airpods from my account on August 24th but everything that happened today was not detected by their system AT ALL. but i got emails from them about the changes but it's not on their end???

So I called my provider, it's a digital provider and I have a physical sim and basically they said i have the same number and no changes on their end.

And without the number I cant even verify or change my password with my email which I have, or the security questions.

I stopped them from adding my cards earlier but this is still a massive financial burden because since I cant access my Apple ID i cant properly use all my connected Apple devices. I'd need to put it in activation lock, file a police report, and show proof that I was the one who purchased the item.

I have an Iphone which i bought i can do this with. I have two Macbook and m1 and m2. I bought the m1 a few years ago but has some issues so I use the M2 that was gifted to me, and i have an Ipad that was gifted to me. So now I will never be able to recover the gifted M2 macbook or my Ipad since I was not the one who purchased it. 

This is how an ecosystem can fuck you over. Now i need to go to the cops to try to get my iphone and m1 useable, but my m2 and Ipad which i use for work are done for. AND ON TOP OF THAT EVERYTHING I HAD ON MY ICLOUD ACCOUNT NOW BELONGS TO HACKERS AND A FUCKING TRILLION DOLLAR COMPANY CANT DO JACK SHIT ABOUT THEIR OWN PLATFORM IN THE NAME OF "PRIVACY". Like what the fuck the senior rep literally told me "It's their account now" and nothing they can do. 

sorry for the rant i've spent my Saturday dealing with this and am just so frustrated.
