This is the point I'm arguing, exactly.  But no one will admit to it, they'd rather tell me "it doesn't matter" or gaslight with "it's not real" or ask "why do you care?" It's all very typical.

That type of response is arguing the trans/political issue, not arguing the matter of it it affects sales of the games.
