| Mummelmann said: I envy some of the titles mentioned in here, I've yet to play a good PC blockbuster game this gen and most of the console games I've gotten my hands on have been disappointing to say the least. Either gaming has taken a plunge in quality or I'm withering away from the industry. |
World of Warcraft, Crysis, NWN2 and Bioshock (easily the best version) are all wonderful on PC (and, although I don't care for them, a lot of people would say Portal and Team Fortress 2). The only downside is that one of those will destroy your life.
Anyway, my top ten *excluding* DS, PC and PSP (to stay on-topic since the other three don't really fit all that well into defined generations anyway):
1. Metroid Prime 3
2. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
3. Final Fantasy CC: MLaaK
4. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
5. Mario Galaxy
6. WarTech
7. Culdcept Saga
8. Assault Heroes
9. Geometry Wars
10. Pac-Mac CE
Note 1: these are, incidentally, in close-to-actual order with Metroid Prime 3 being, far and away, the best game I've played this generation with RE and FFCC hot on its heels.
Note 2: I did *not* include any games that were re-releases/updates of previous-generation (or more) titles (e.g. PlayStation classics; XBLA re-issues; VC games and so on).
