Yeah seeing der8auer's results when he upped the power was eye opening. It reminded me of the old days of when you could over clock your PC and see massive gains. That said the power didn't do much for games, it seemed only make a significant difference in non gaming applications. AMD should have called the 9700X the 9700 and had another sku with a higher power limit called the 9700X. Sure knowledgeable enthusiasts would just tweak the 9700 anyway, but most people just rock "out of the box" performance.
