The Dreamcast had a lot of high quality and memorable titles despite it's short lifespan, and it gave birth to solid online console gaming.  One of the highest rated games of all time, Soul Calibur, was a DC exclusive.  It also held a wealth of popular and niche titles like Ikaruga (before it was ported to the GameCube), Bangai-O, Crazy Taxi, Shenmue, and several others.  Had Sega had the money to keep supporting the Dreamcast beyond 2001, I think it would've been a second Genesis/Mega Drive for them--it was considered that good.
