I just watched the trailer for WKC on the Hong Kong PSN.
At first things were okay, nothing very exciting.
Then the main guy has a transformation, and the trailer got degraded from decent to shitty.
Seriously, why oh why are transformations so used in japanese story telling?
Everyone remembers "The Mask" right? Those were some good transformations! You got the idea, that Stanley was toying with something powerful, something he couldn't quite control. And he did not turn big or anything like that, he still looked human!
In the WKC trailer, the main guy transforms into the knight thingy we've all seen in pictures regarding WKC, but he does in a way where this big, (supposedly) bad ass knight is also indicated to like pretty lights and ballet.
Anyway, the only reason I watched the trailer to the end was because of the monsters, those were bad ass.
And yes, this is probably very stereotypical, but I didn't get much of the story stuff from the trailer as I don't understand japanese.
And I am generally, not very fond of JRPGs and never have been.
