How do you deal with having to give up/rage quit on a game?

Not sure to be honest.  Never enjoyed a game that road blocked me.  I did get stuck on Smelter, DS2 was my 1st From Software, but I think I just keep at it with no breaks, finally won.  

I forgot you were a souls vet. You ever have to respec? Respe (unless you fucked up) feels like failure to me.
