I don't see most of Nintendos roster in this category though, Nintendo are family friendly games for sure but they are equally as hardcore worthy as more mature games like souls. Souls is based off of the first Zelda like. I'm specifically referring to the hard edge of that where it becomes child focused or seems childish on the surface. Like with Ni no Kuni 2 it's hard to analysis cause the systems are obviously very deep and the game is very obviously made for competent RPG gamers but at a surface level everything says Saturday morning cartoon.
I recently made a thread asking for cosy games, many of the titles look fantastic but in my mind I'm wondering am I aged out of that one, should I be playing this one. Hmm, idk. Lol. But you're right, I play Minecraft from time to time for the zen experience and don't even think twice about what people think and sure if I can play that without shame why be bothered about "Ding dong dell" or "higgledies".
