The polls said Hillary would win but a huge landslide. In fact the final electoral vote count vs prediction is shows like a 200 point shift.
There are other examples in recent history for 2022. Polling has been quite botched for years now and it seems to corelate to the shift to targeted online polls and abandonment of landlines.
