Unquestionably the right thing to do for his legacy.

Now we just wait and see what the next step is. I think Jaicee is kind of right in the other thread that they can't give the appearance of Biden just coronating Harris (although I don't think that they should have a month long open primary). These needs to be figured out fast, and the more people who immediately get behind Harris, the better.

It'd be a really bad look if Biden doesn't endorse Harris, basically says her own President doesn't have faith in her.

I'm not saying Biden should be like "Harris, you're the boss now!" obviously But Biden's endorsement will help get the rest in line, followed by Schumer/Pelosi/Hakeem, etc. So we can avoid this mini-primary suggestion.

At least I'm relieved Newsom already said he wouldn't challenge Harris, I think he's going to be a leading candidate for the Democrats in the future but something about him makes me think "career politician"

A Harris/Tim Walz ticket would be cool to see.  Republicans would attack his handling of the George Floyd protest, but Walz accomplished almost everything he said he would in Minnesota and I think Walz helps you get some of the Midwest states like Wisconsin and Michigan.
