I've played all three now recently from start to finish, fresh (on Bloodborne/Sekiro) and NG+ run (Elden ring) and they are all emaculate games but I understand now, Sekiro can't get a sequel because the difficulty would have to be end game or higher right from the start cause players are now familiar with the system and there is no point over designing something that is this clean and fun, a sequel would simply have to be too difficult for new players to avpid the game being to easy for veterns cause damn, Sekiro can become very easy when you know what you're doing. Bloodborne can't get a sequel because the story is finished, what story would they tell? They really tied that up with a bow. Even if they made a sequel it would hardly live up to Bloodborne now that it is so hyped, it's too late and could become a Dark souls 2 situation where they have to make Bloodborne 3 to correct like they did with DS3. Bloodborne is also a Sony exclusive so they won't sell Sekiro or Elden Ring numbers. Elden Ring is probably the only one that could get a sequel as I see it but it certainly doesn't need one, at least not to be next in line for one, it's too fresh and Elden Ring was so big it'll keep the bellies full for a long time yet. So, a new title and hopefully something fresh like Sekiro. They managed to get AC6 out while doing Elden Ring and ER DLC at the same time and knowing their track record it can't be too long. Bloodborne (2015) Dark souls 3 (2016) Sekiro (2019) Elden Ring (2022) Armoured core 6 (2023) shadow of the erd tree (2024). At tops, three years. Perhaps they are and already have a team on something already. Hopefully something new and unique or a return to souls with a new formula.

I'm off to start a new run of Dark souls 3. Damn these games are brilliant.

sekiro could have a difficulty option which would be welcomed. even iF sekiro 2 is the same challenge as sekiro it would still be a great game with new enemies, sure it might not the most challenging for sekiro veterans but it will still be plenty fun.

Yeah, you could just go charmless. Sekiro had a hard mode in this regard and a second difficulty option with the Demon Bell. We actually played Sekiro on easy mode which is wild.
