Take the shittiest movie you know that got an actual wide, studio release ... and it still would have in movie equivalent terms not have had a opening weekend as bad as this. Not even close. 

This is supposed to be a showpiece title for XBox Series X and PCs and MS was showing off to hype the XBox Series X unveil. It's technically probably the highest end game on the market right now, and the first game had some good buzz even going for it, this is an epic disaster. 

Too many games with good graphics. make something like red dead, GTA, or super hero game with those graphics and people will line up. a 5-6 hour game that's mostly  walking with lame looking characters of course it's gonna bomb. what's even the genre for this game? I Love me some nice graphics but i ain't buying a game just to look at graphics if it doesn't look appealing.

There aren't actually though? Pretty sure this is probably the best looking game on the market, if there are other games comparable technically you can probably count them on one hand. 

The first game was reasonably well received, it had to be for MS to buy the studio and greenlight a sequel, it's not even like this one has terrible reviews, the reviews are OK.
